Q. Is there anything that can slow down the need to urinate so often?
A. There are so many reasons a woman would need to urinate frequently. Do you urinate in large quantities each time? Are you thirsty and drinking a lot too? Are you on a diuretic to treat high blood pressure? Do you drink lots of fluids including caffeine containing drinks? Could you have diabetes? High calcium? a urinary problem/kidney problem?

Your best bet is to have your family doctor do a simple blood and urine test to learn more...that is,...if you can't figure out the cause on your own.
Q. A friend of mine just got married - she is 23-years old. She complains that after intercourse she has burning up to 45 minutes later. She has gone to the gynocologist and he ran tests for infections that came out negative and says that she is healthy. she has been using cremes and jells to lubricate but the isssue is a problem. Any suggestions or ideas what to do.
A. I am not sure how to respond to your question without more questions.

Where is the burning? Is it in her urethra? which could be from the mechanical force or "trauma" of sex...or perhaps she is just not that lubricated naturally (many women fear sex with a new partner or for the first time...which means the mind doesn't allow the body to relax)...this is likely to go away with time. She should try to avoid lubricants unless it is water soluble like KY jelly...but a young woman shouldn't need them so hopefully it is temporary. I can't think of anything serious that could cause this...

I wish I could be of more specific help...it sounds like it should be a matter of time before she feels okay assuming all is well with her relationship.
